Ray Ballantyne

Ballantyne_editRay Ballantyne is a writer, a teacher and a storyteller. He lives in Salem, Oregon with his wife, Louise, and a sixteen-pound Shih Tzu “guard dog” named Sadie. Ray has lived his entire life in the Pacific Northwest, including stops in Portland, Oregon, where he was born, Yakima and Seattle, in Washington state, and Eugene, Oregon. He has loved stories all his life. Sharing tales was his favorite part of teaching.The tale of the Pied Piper has haunted him for years, so with his novel, The Last Child of Hamelin, he has continued the story and created a more hopeful ending.
